As a Senior Sales Manager within FIS's Payments organisation, you will lead a high performing team focused on growing the European client portfolio. This role is centred on deepening, expanding, and accelerating growth within existing European financial institutions, driving higher PS adoption, increased wallet share, and stronger long term client partnerships.
You will bring a background in consulting or software organisations selling Professional Services and leverage your established network across European banks and financial institutions to guide your team and represent FIS at senior levels across the industry. This is a high visibility commercial leadership role requiring strong stakeholder management skills, influential communication, and the ability to act as an industry ambassador for FIS.
What You Will Be Doing
- Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of six Payments Sales Executives to exceed revenue, margin, and PS growth targets.
- Drive a culture of performance excellence, portfolio expansion, and consistent execution.
- Conduct pipeline deep dives, establish best practice account growth strategies, and ensure disciplined forecasting.
- Portfolio Growth Strategy & Execution
- Define and execute a European account growth strategy focused on:
- Expanding PS penetration within existing clients
- Driving consulting, implementation, migration, and advisory service adoption
- Unlocking multi country growth opportunities across large banking groups
- Build and sustain strong executive level relationships across top European financial institutions.
- Tailor strategic account plans to accelerate PS consumption and reinforce FIS as a long term transformation partner.
- Professional Services Alignment
- Strengthen PS integration throughout the account lifecycle—ensuring early engagement, accurate scoping, and effective handoff to delivery.
- Collaborate with PS leadership to align pipeline, delivery capacity, project readiness, and client expectations.
- Champion PS led propositions and influence pricing, estimation, and delivery frameworks.
- Industry Representation & Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent FIS at industry forums, client executive meetings, and pan European events.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, understanding their transformation agendas and aligning FIS PS offerings accordingly.
- Actively promote FIS's point of view on payments transformation, regulatory change, and market innovation.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Solution Consulting, Client Engagement, and Delivery to ensure a unified commercial and PS motion.
- Drive alignment on deal strategy, commercial positioning, and value articulation for complex, multi stakeholder engagements.
- Client Outcomes & Governance
- Ensure strong customer experience across all PS related engagements.
- Champion quality, compliance, and deal governance to support client success and delivery readiness.
- Elevate client satisfaction through proactive risk management, clear communication, and strategic alignment.
