About the team
You will be part of FIS Supply Chain Finance (formerly Demica) who are a market leader powering the trade finance programmes of the world’s largest trade banks and corporations. Our proposition is simple: our intuitive, cloud-based platform enables financial institutions and corporates to automate and scale their working capital solutions. Today, we have over US$40bn of Assets under Administration (AUA) on our platform, across the full spectrum of working capital products. These programmes enable companies to strengthen their supply chains and redeploy capital to drive growth.
About the role
In your new role as an Originator for the Corporate Solutions Team you will be responsible for driving sales efforts targeting large multinational corporate clients, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and key business introducers relevant to these companies, focused on EMEA. Key responsibilities include identifying prospect clients, independently originating transactions with these clients, and collaboration with internal stakeholders across the Commercial function (incl. Marketing & Business Development) to drive pipeline growth and market penetration.
What you will be doing
- Work with the Business Development Team to identify prospect Corporates and Private Equity sponsors, help the Marketing and Business Development Teams to design campaigns to drive inbound deal flow.
- Engage with the FIS Account Managers to develop cross-sell opportunities from within existing FIS customer base.
- Lead complex sales engagements from inception to closure. Work with clients to move them through the sales cycle from the initial contact through to mandate, handover to execution/implementation and go live. You will leverage business from new and established customer relationships including those within Demica and FIS' product suite.
- Attend industry trade shows and participate in the creating of marketing materials appropriate for your client segment, with continuous feedback and improvement via the Origination, Marketing, and Structuring and Execution Teams.
- Actively manage the target addressable market ensuring business development and origination activities are focused on appropriate targets.
What you bring
- 10 years+ working experience in banking, advisory or fintech environment ideally with corporate finance or investment banking related experience.
- Product knowledge across the working capital financing spectrum.
- In depth understanding of Trade Receivables Financing (ABL, Receivables, Payables and Receivables Securitization).
- Proven track record working on closed transactions for several years and experience leading transactions through to close.
- Ability to independently cultivate new client relationships working closely with Business Development and Marketing to source and establish relationships.
