About the Role
As an Engineer Lead, Software, you’ll be working with technical teams to:
- Author Pipelines and Infra as Code within our Infrastructure as Code framework both on and off prem
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies
- Mentor other team members within this team and in other teams
- Assist Product Owner with architectural decisions

Working within our Total Issuer Solutions business unit, formerly known as TSYS.
- Geographically distributed team
- Pipeline engineering and enabling other teams to own IaC
- Agile team under a product owner
- Contributing to and working with a common infra as code set of tools and framework
- Advancing the use of GenAI tools for our own use and the use of consuming teams
What You Will Be Doing
Be responsible for the quality of pipeline and other code that supports our on prem Infra as Code initiatives. The engineer lead, software will be authoring pipeline and Infrastructure code. Our projects involve the automation / owning via code of on prem infrastructure, with much use of AWS. Evangelizing for IaC over on prem teams.
Qualifications
- Live within commutable distance of the Knaresborough, UK office. Minimum 2 days a week in office.
- Some years of Terraform, Ansible, Groovy experience
- Copilot familiarity, prompt engineering, integrating GenAI in Git Operations
- Familiar with on prem technologies over network, compute, security infrastructure domains
- Familiar with AWS services
- Comfortable with DevSecOps tools such as JIRA, Git, VS Code
Nice to Have
- Previous experience of a large enterprise environment
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS or other high security environment
