As an Employee Relations (ER) Advisor Specialist you will work as a trusted advisor with line managers across the business, providing advice and guidance on UK employee relations matters in accordance with our policies and procedures, to ensure a fair and consistent approach.

Responsibilities

  • Guidance and Compliance: Provide expert guidance to management on employee relations matters including disciplinary, performance, grievance and flexible working, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations into intricate, HR-related employee grievances and ethics cases, resolving conflicts and recommending appropriate actions.
  • Consultation: Manage consultation actions such as TUPE and redundancy consultation (both collective and individual).
  • Terminations: Handle sensitive, in-depth, involuntary terminations.
  • Training: Deliver training programs for managers on employee relations topics, such as conflict resolution and effective communication; provide policy coaching for performance management, disciplinary and flexible working processes.

Qualifications

  • Conflict Resolution/Negotiation: Robust ability to mediate disputes and negotiate agreements effectively.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law: Strong in-depth understanding of UK employment law.
  • Problem Solving: Approach challenges with a solution-focused mindset, able to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
