Join our dynamic Professional Services team as a Commercial Lending Consultant, where you’ll play a pivotal role in implementing our Commercial Loan Servicing (CLS) solution. Your expertise in CLS and commercial lending products will be key to guiding clients through best practices and ensuring seamless adoption.
Responsibilities
- Work individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements.
- Serve as a liaison between end‑users and consultants during consulting projects.
- Research and document client needs, technology or regulations related to system design, enhancement, and hardware or software acquisition impacting multiple platforms and/or applications.
- Define product scope, objectives and requirements.
- Define specifications and data models for product development and testing.
- Create detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
- Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends and best practices, vendor products and services.
- Analyze system impacts on other systems and procedures.
- Devise and/or modify processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiency and solve complex technical problems related to computer equipment capacity and limitations.
- Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to the consulting team.
- Write test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements maintain client needs and application integrity.
- Conduct system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests, using client data to verify compliance with client requirements.
- Influence clients, business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection or vendor selection.
- Consult directly with clients and may travel to client sites.
- Act as a team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects, leading sub‑plans or small projects.
- Mentor, guide, advise and/or review work of less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants.
- Play a key role in training client and technical support personnel on enhancements, new systems or procedures.
- Deliver training one‑on‑one as knowledge transfer or in a classroom setting, depending on audience size and client preference.
- Serve as pre‑sales support specialist when needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CLS and commercial lending servicing products.
- Background in finance, banking, or accounting.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and time‑management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%).

- In‑depth knowledge of FIS products and services and the financial services industry.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple end‑to‑end systems development life cycles, including waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches.
- Advanced knowledge of tools, techniques and principles used in application development and objective‑oriented development or other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of application architecture.
- Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies.
- Excellent customer‑service skills that build high levels of satisfaction for internal and external clients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for audiences at all levels, from executives to individual contributors.
