You will lead solution design, RFP responses, stakeholder engagement, and client presentations throughout the sales lifecycle.

Success will be measured through deal conversion, solution quality, and the confidence clients place in our proposed outcomes.

This position suits a highly consultative payments professional who combines deep industry expertise with strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical audiences.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead end-to-end presales activities for card issuing and processing opportunities.
  • Partner with sales teams to qualify opportunities and develop winning pursuit strategies.
  • Own and coordinate responses to RFPs, RFIs, and due diligence questionnaires, ensuring high-quality and compliant submissions.
  • Design and present tailored solutions aligned with clients' business, technical, operational, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business challenges, and articulate solution value.
  • Collaborate closely with product, delivery, and technology teams to ensure solution feasibility, scope, and alignment.
  • Develop compelling proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and solution narratives.
  • Support pricing strategy and commercial structuring in partnership with sales and internal subject matter experts.
  • Stay current with card issuing and processing developments, payment schemes, market trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of presales methodologies, tools, knowledge repositories, and best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 8+ years of experience in presales, solutions consulting, solution engineering, or a comparable client-facing role within payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong knowledge of card issuing and processing ecosystems, including transaction lifecycles, authorisation processes, settlement, and related payment flows.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating complex RFP, RFI, and bid management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across sales, product, delivery, and technology functions.
  • Experience operating within fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally spanning both established organisations and fintech businesses.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across senior business and technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to structure solutions and articulate clear value propositions.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.

  • Digital Wallets
  • Cryptocurrency and Digital Assets
  • Account-to-Account (A2A) Payments
  • Understanding of payment regulations, card scheme rules, compliance requirements, and risk considerations within issuing and processing.
  • Experience with issuing platforms, processor platforms, switching infrastructure, or modern payment technology providers.
  • Exposure to international card markets, cross-border payments, and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise sales opportunities, strategic programmes, or transformation initiatives.
  • Fluency in an additional European language is advantageous.
  • What Success Looks Like
  • Consistently contributes to successful conversion of strategic sales opportunities.
  • Delivers high-quality, differentiated solution proposals that address client challenges.
