The role is VP, Head of Trading Solutions reporting to the SVP, Head of Front Office Solutions business unit within Capital Markets.

Summary: Business line role responsible for the overall revenue and long-term results of the Trading Solutions business within the Capital Markets Division of FIS Global. Housed within the Solution Management organization, this role looks to provide business leadership over one of the most important and largest business lines within the Capital Markets organization. The Trading Solutions business encompasses a suite of solutions for Banks, Brokers, Asset Managers & Owners, including FIS Cross-Asset Trading & Risk (formerly Front Arena), FIS Trading Suite (formerly Valdi) and the associated ecosystem of integrated products and services.

This position presents an exciting opportunity to both run an existing and market leading set of solutions and services while at the same time engage and accelerate deep strategic projects that are driving growth for the longer term. The VP for the Solution line will need to be able to quickly incorporate into the existing organization, partner with multiple functional and non-functional teams and quickly identify opportunities for improvements and acceleration of the overall roadmap.

The Solution Manager will need to actively participate in commercial, and client facing engagements to drive a client-oriented agenda and pursue long term value creation. To do this, the Solution Manager will need to understand the current industry, business challenges, technical product needs and ensure any proposed ideas are deliverable against available budget and timelines. The Solution Manager will lead directly and indirectly a global team of 500+ employees.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Accountability: Overall responsibility to meet and/or exceed established annual revenue targets across the entire portfolio of Product and Services. Partnering with Sales, Commercial Management and other functional teams for day-to-day monitoring and implementation of overall product strategy and yearly Go-To-Market initiatives.
  • Product Strategy: Define long-term (3Y) strategic plan through thorough analysis of potential business cases that evaluate organic and inorganic growth opportunities. Syndicate product strategy with relevant teams in Corporate Strategy, Sales, Finance, and other functional groups and define plan to meet short- and long-term expectations within the overall organization.
  • Investment Planning: Transform long term strategy into specific business initiatives that need to be properly analysed, evaluated, approved, and funded through detailed business case reviews. Develop, syndicate and present FAM models for new initiatives as needed per corporate policies.
  • Solution Price Listing: Responsible for developing, maintaining, syndicating and back testing of price list for individual products, services, and overall solution. Responsible for training and partnering with Commercial Management team for the utilization of the price list and overall syndication to Sales teams.
  • Innovation: Responsible for identifying opportunities for revenue growth through development of new solutions, new product enhancements and expansion into new client segments or regions.
  • M&A / Partnerships: In partnership with Strategy team, responsible for identifying potential acquisitions/divestiture options for the overall solutions and/or specific product gaps.
  • Go-to-Market Planning: Responsible for overall TAM analysis for each individual initiative and for the identification of potential target clients that can then be shared with Sales and GTM team.
  • Major Client Relationships / Client Escalations & Major Deals: Natural escalation point for client issues across existing product solutions; works to leverage Delivery Management team to successfully address external client requirements through the proactive coordination across multiple internal groups.
  • Oversight of Major Client Deliveries: Works with Professional Services and Managed Services teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of major solution implementations and deliveries.
  • Oversight of Major Product Deliveries: Works with Development team to establish regular governance tracking meetings to ensure progress is being done in line with strategy, business cases and budget planning.
