Firwood High School is a successful 11-19 special school meeting the needs of young people with complex learning difficulties. We are also part of the Woodbridge Trust working closely with Ladywood Primary Special School, Woodbridge SEND Services and our partner Woodbridge College our Post 19 provision.

Firwood High School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Assistant Level 1 who is willing to “go the extra mile” and is passionate about supporting students’ learning with a range of special educational needs. Applicants should be enthusiastic about developing their skills to work effectively with students with SEN and to further their knowledge and understanding in this area.

Contract and key dates:

  • Contract: Permanent
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Salary: Grade D, Point 6-11 (£19,547 - £21,167)
  • Working Hours: 32.5 hrs per week, Term Time & 5 days (part time considered; candidate must be able to commit to weekly CPD until 4:30pm on Wednesdays)
