The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
The primary objective of the jobholder is to assist with the ex-farm procurement of malting barley and other grains in addition to the profitable sale of agricultural inputs to growers whilst maintaining an acceptable farm debt profile. If qualified they will be required to offer agronomy services to the customer base for all types of crops. RESPONSIBILITIES * Maximise the procurement of grain from grower base by means of forward contracts and spot purchasing techniques. * Maximise the sale of agricultural supplies in a profitable mix as defined by the company and by regional/climactic factors. * To feedback market information to the product management function in a timely manner. * To maintain an acceptable debt profile in line with the requirements of the company’s credit control policy. * To source new business within regional area of responsibility or as directed by the company. * To provide technical information and services to grower base. * To cooperate in developing and achieving realistic budgets/targets which relate to the company’s business plan and budget and recognising them as fundamental to the company in aggregate with colleagues’ performance. * Develop and maintain good working relationships and communication with other personnel. * Establish working relationships with customers and suppliers of arable inputs SKILLS & ABILITIES * Computer literate with good understanding of MS Office. * Good knowledge of agriculture and arable cropping but training will be given, if required. * Strong interpersonal skills and a confident approach trading directly with farmers. * Flexible outlook. * Willing to work as part of a team. * Selfmotivated and able to work alone. * Clean driving license and held a full license for a minimum of 2 years.
