We\’re hiring a Senior Business Development professional to lead our Retail Industry efforts with a growth mind-set. This strategic sales role provides you with the platform to leverage exceptional customer references and world-class retail support, driving significant impact. You\’ll be the voice of retail within the company, shaping strategy, influencing product direction, and forging key executive relationships. You\’ll also play a key role in event ideation and execution, creating standout experiences that resonate with industry leaders. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a high-impact sales strategy, focusing on driving growth within the retail sector by targeting top-tier UK retail brands.
  • Sales Growth: Identify and close new business opportunities with retail clients, including both front and back office operations, e-commerce, and BPO solutions.
  • Deals Closed/Closing: Drive the sales pipeline to close deals in the BPO/retail space, working with a sense of urgency and focus on high-value clients.
  • Retail Sales Leadership: Develop long-term relationships with key decision-makers at C-suite and senior leadership levels within retail organizations, with a focus on technology, operations, and BPO solutions.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of retail industry trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to proactively address challenges and identify new business opportunities within the sector.
  • Revenue & Profitability: Lead initiatives that optimize the sales pipeline, increase win rates, and maximize the lifetime value of retail clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution of BPO solutions tailored to the retail industry.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular updates to the executive team on sales performance, pipeline health, and business development progress in the retail sector.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership, business development, or a related field, with a strong focus on BPO and retail. Proven success in selling tech and operations solutions to top-tier UK retail brands is a must.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building and scaling sales teams, closing deals, and driving revenue growth in the competitive retail market. Experience in both front and back office e-commerce operations is highly desirable.
  • Hunter Mentality: A results-driven “hunter” with a passion for identifying new opportunities and closing deals, especially within the BPO and retail space.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance at all levels of the sales team.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with senior stakeholders in retail organizations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, aligning sales objectives with company goals within the retail industry.
  • Analytical: Strong data-driven mind-set, with the ability to analyse sales metrics, forecast accurately, and identify actionable insights to improve performance.
