Direct message the job poster from firstPRO, Inc Hybrid in Westwood, MA – no set # of days in-office, changes week per week Job Description Seeking a dynamic and experienced accounting/finance professional to support our growth as we develop the infrastructure and systems necessary for company-level commercialization efforts. Reporting directly to the US Controller, this role will leverage expertise in accounting operations, technical accounting, and financial close processes to build robust financial systems and controls, preparing the organization for a potential IPO. The ideal candidate will gain a deep understanding of the organizations technology and business strategy, create tools to enhance execution, and drive continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support general ledger close activities and related internal controls Analyze key performance data to support management reporting and forecasting Contribute to system and process improvement initiatives Facilitate cross-departmental processes and workflow optimization Assist in developing and documenting business processes and policies Continuously enhance the quality and efficiency of systems, processes, and internal controls Perform accounting tasks, including account reconciliations, financial schedule compilation, and project participation Monitor account transactions to ensure accurate revenue and expense recording Required Experience and Skills: Experience in public accounting Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Ability to manage routine transactions while identifying opportunities for process improvements Proficiency in computer skills, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel Excellent oral and written communication abilities Experience with additional systems such as Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Supply Chain ERP and Rippling HRIS Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting CPA strongly preferred Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at firstPRO, Inc by 2x Inferred from the description for this job 401(k) Medical insurance Vision insurance Paid paternity leave Paid maternity leave Disability insurance Pension plan Get notified about new Accountant jobs in Greater Boston .
