As Senior Service Charge Accountant, you will contribute to our vision of being the favourite property manager by:

1. Providing all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for our developments, residents, RMCs and clients.
2. Delivering accurate financial statements and records to our customers.
3. This role reports to the Property Services- Scheme Accounting Team Leader.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Deliver year-end accounts to residents in a timely fashion.
2. Carry out the necessary transactions to ensure a smooth accounting process for accounts.
3. Resolve issues on accounts and ensure a quality service is provided to customers/clients.
4. Deliver to department productivity metrics and contribute to the team and organisational goals.
5. Liaise effectively with auditors to deliver a smooth audit process and provide the best possible outcome for our customers and clients.
6. Adopt a proactive approach at all times to audit and accounts, liaising with analysts/managers on areas of concern.
7. Balance sheet analysis & risk mitigation.
8. Undertake a cross-development analysis and review.
9. Take full responsibility for your own development and contribute positively and effectively to the team through creative ideas, tested processes or feedback from colleagues/external parties.
10. Support the Service Charge Team Leader as required.

We are looking for great people who are:

1. Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) level with passes in English language and a relevant mathematical/accounting subject.
2. Professional qualification such as AAT/ACCA/CIMA completed or very nearly completed.
3. A minimum of 1 year’s experience of working in an accounting environment.
4. Double entry bookkeeping and the accuracy that accompanies it.
5. Microsoft Excel at intermediate level, alongside Microsoft Word.
6. High attention to detail with the ability to see and challenge information.
7. Strong communication skills, able to liaise with non-financial internal and external customers.
8. Self-motivated and organised, able to prioritise own workload.
9. A team player, demonstrating working towards a common goal.
10. Strong customer focus, understanding both internal and external stakeholders.
