Your Role, Your Impact

The E‑Learning Developer is responsible for designing and developing engaging, high-quality digital learning solutions that support organisational capability and performance. Working in partnership with the Digital Learning & Innovation Partner, who leads stakeholder engagement, learning needs analysis, solution design and content scripting, the E‑Learning Developer will transform approved storyboards and scripts into interactive, accessible and visually engaging e‑learning using Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline. The role is responsible for ensuring digital learning is developed to a consistently high standard, aligned to learning objectives, brand guidelines and accessibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging digital learning solutions from approved learning scripts and storyboards using Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline.
  • Build interactive learning experiences using scenarios, knowledge checks, branching, video, animation and other multimedia where appropriate.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create learner‑centred digital content.
  • Ensure learning is responsive, accessible and optimised for a range of devices.
  • Carry out quality assurance testing to ensure learning content is accurate, functional and ready for deployment.
  • Work closely with the Digital Learning & Innovation Partner throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Manage agreed development timelines and communicate progress effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience developing engaging e‑learning using Articulate Rise and Storyline.
  • Experience creating interactive digital learning incorporating assessments, scenarios and multimedia.
  • Experience working within an L&D or digital learning function.
  • Experience working to agreed development standards and brand guidelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Effective organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret learning scripts and storyboards accurately.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and digital learning best practice.
  • Knowledge of E‑learning accessibility standards.
  • Experience creating video and animation for learning.
  • Knowledge of SCORM and Learning Management Systems.
  • Experience using AI tools to support learning development.
  • Experience of writing code for E‑learning using AI.
