About The Role
Purpose of Role
The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse responsible for delivering clinical excellence across a caseload of complex care packages in the community. The role includes direct clinical oversight, hands-on mentoring of care staff, risk management, and training delivery, with the objective of ensuring safe, person-centred care aligned to CQC's Single Assessment Framework. Working flexibly across Servoca Plc, the Nurse Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality and safety of services across complex care, homecare and recruitment as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Oversight & Accountability
- Hold clinical responsibility for a caseload of complex care packages, including assessment, implementation, and regular review.
- Conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments, ensuring clients’ needs are fully understood and safely met at home.
- Develop person-centred care plans and risk assessments, reviewing them in collaboration with clients, families, and the care team.
- Provide clinical leadership and contribute to service development initiatives in collaboration with the Managing Director and wider management team.
- Staff Training & Competency
- Deliver and assess clinical training for care staff, including theory, practical instruction, and sign-off of delegated clinical tasks (e.g. PEG, tracheostomy, medication administration).
- Maintain up-to-date clinical competencies, in line with NMC standards, for both self and team.
- Actively participate in 6–8 weekly patient safety and clinical governance reviews.
- Service Support & Development
- Attend home visits regularly to provide mentorship, direct care, and reassurance to clients and families.
- Support the Registered Manager with clinical safeguarding, complaints investigation, and improvement planning.
- Provide professional input during CQC inspections, ICB audits, and council reviews as required.
- Lead or contribute to internal audits (e.g. MAR charts) and ensure clinical documentation and policies remain up to date and compliant.
- Emergency & On-Call Support
- Be part of the clinical on-call rota, responding to out-of-hours emergencies or unplanned incidents as needed.
- Attend and contribute to debriefs following critical incidents.

About You
Person Specification
Essential
- NMC Registered Nurse (Adult), currently practicing
- Band 6–7 level clinical experience, ideally with ITU/complex care background
- Proven experience managing clients with complex needs (TDDI, LD, mental health, or physical disabilities)
- Skilled in developing, delivering, and assessing clinical training
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working independently in the community
- Strong documentation, IT, and clinical audit skills
- Knowledge of CQC Single Assessment Framework and clinical governance
Desirable
- Experience supporting domiciliary care services
- Participation in external inspections (CQC, ICB)
- Leadership training or formal qualification
