At SPS Bus, we are looking for a motivated, organised, and enthusiastic Recruitment Apprentice to join our Recruitment Team. This is more than just an apprenticeship — it’s an opportunity to become part of the team helping recruit and onboard drivers supporting the Sizewell C Power Station project. You’ll gain first-hand experience within a fast‑paced, high‑volume recruitment environment, helping attract, support, and onboard drivers who play a vital role in keeping this major project moving. With full training, mentoring, and ongoing support, you’ll develop the skills, confidence, and experience needed to build a successful long‑term career in recruitment whilst gaining a recognised recruitment qualification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the end‑to‑end recruitment process for driver roles, from application through to onboarding.
  • Assist with creating and posting job adverts across recruitment platforms and social media channels.
  • Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment journey, providing a professional and positive experience.
  • Coordinate interviews, assessments, and onboarding activities.
  • Support recruitment events, job fairs, and driver assessment days.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment documentation.
  • Assist with arranging medical appointments and completing Right to Work Checks.
  • Learn compliance processes required for working on high‑security and regulated sites.
  • Provide excellent customer service to candidates, managers, and colleagues.
  • Support general recruitment administration tasks.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external teams.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are completed professionally and in line with company procedures.

About you

We’re looking for someone with enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. You should have:

Qualifications and Experience

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Interest in recruitment or people‑focused roles
