The predicted salary is between 28000 - 28000 £ per year.

Permanent annual salary £28,000 with benefits including free and discounted rail travel, pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, health cashback scheme and 50% gym membership fee coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for Group Travel customers for Hull Trains and its sister company, Lumo, preparing quotes, confirming travel details, and resolving queries promptly.
  • Support the Marketing and PR teams with seat reservations and other ad‑hoc duties related to seat reservation or travel services.
  • Manage a range of yield‑managed ‘Advance’ tickets to maximise passenger revenue using revenue management systems, including opening and maintaining services within the reservation system.
  • Provide first‑line support to the Commercial Systems Manager for internal and external queries.
  • Monitor the trading environment, including competitor pricing and demand‑impacting events, and implement appropriate revenue management strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Systems Manager to develop pricing strategy, prepare tactical proposals for fare‑setting rounds in March, June, and September, and update fares within the Product Management System (PMS) with compliance.
  • Assist in developing the retail strategy, preparing tactical proposals for revenue protection.
  • Work closely with team members to drive change and develop innovative product opportunities.
  • Analyse the value of specific commercial activities to support continuous improvement in achieving commercial goals.
  • Undertake additional activities assigned by the line manager to maximise opportunities to delight customers and enhance revenue.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web‑based programs.
  • Knowledge of Lennon, PMS, and revenue management software is advantageous.
  • Previous pricing analysis and revenue management experience within transport or travel sector is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high accuracy.
  • Highly organised, team player capable of handling multiple projects and prioritising workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of broader transport industry trends and their implications for Hull Trains.
