Responsibilities

  • Champion outstanding pupil outcomes, ensuring high‑quality teaching, meaningful therapeutic integration, and a curriculum that enables every young person to succeed.
  • Inspire and develop your team, building a positive, accountable culture where staff feel motivated, valued and empowered.
  • Create a safe and inclusive environment, embedding safeguarding, wellbeing and equality into everyday practice.
  • Lead with confidence through inspection and compliance, maintaining excellence against Independent Special School and Ofsted standards.
  • Build a high‑performing workforce, attracting, developing and retaining talented professionals through clear expectations and strategic CPD.
  • Drive sustainable school performance, overseeing admissions, occupancy and financial management to secure long‑term stability.

Qualifications

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A degree in a relevant field.
  • An NPQH qualification.
  • Strong understanding of education legislation and special education frameworks.
  • Deep commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
  • Confidence in leading schools through Ofsted frameworks and inspection readiness.
  • The ability to inspire trust, build relationships and lead positive change.
