Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Hours: Monday-Friday 07:00-15:30

Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour

About The Role

As an Engineering Stores Person, you will help the Area Stores Manager run the depot stores smoothly. Your work will support the engineering team and help keep things running well for our customers. You will deal with day-to-day problems in the stores and let your manager know about any important issues or concerns. If you have commercial vehicle parts advisory/stock management experience then we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Support the Area Stores Manager to ensure optimum management of material and fuel stocks, and the accurate and timely processing of warranty claims.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that vehicle parts and fuel are available to meet the depot's operational needs.
  • You will stay informed of any changes to the fleet and adjust stock levels accordingly.
  • This includes following procedures for bulk fuel deliveries and accurately reconciling fuel stocks.
  • Ensure stores areas are kept clean and tidy, and stock is stored in a secure, safe, and efficient manner.
  • Support the Area Stores Manager to monitor and manage stock usage.
  • Maintain relevant business systems to accurately record all aspects of stock management.

Qualifications

  • Some commercial vehicle parts advisory/stock management experience would be great, however we can provide training where required.
  • A clean UK driving licence would be beneficial for this role, though not essential.
  • The ability to work independently when required and to help support a wider team.
