About the job: We are looking for an experienced Project Management Professional, capable of delivery of multiple complex projects in the Railway Operations Space. The role will focus on delivering new capabilities or modules to new and existing clients, working in tandem with the Product Management team. This role will also ensure that project delivery standards are fully maintained and ensure consistent delivery to time, budget and quality.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Project Delivery: Working with our product, Technical and Business Analyst teams to deliver key projects including new Product launches, major new product modules and incremental product enhancements.
- Project Control, Planning, Communication and Reporting: You'll create realistic project plans with appropriate controls and discipline to ensure timely delivery, working with stakeholders to ensure communication is clear, productive relationships are nurtured, building trust in delivery and quality, whilst ensuring reporting is transparent and accurate.
- Delivery Team Management: Your leadership will provide direction, support and challenge to delivery partners ensuring that outputs are to time and quality.
- Commercial: You'll support commercial plans by ensuring Statement of Works are in place and agreed for all commissioned development activities and accurately represent the right commercial profile including rate cards for resource, monthly recurring revenue rates on existing and new products.
As a minimum, you will need to have:
- 5+ years' experience of Project Management in Railway Operations
- Experience of working in both Agile and waterfall environments
- Experience of working with established project management toolsets
- Proven ability to engage with customers in a language style they are comfortable with avoiding unfamiliar terms and reference
- Demonstrable experience of good customer management, including the ability to communicate effectively, manage expectations, negotiate and influence and resolve concerns
- Proven leadership style capable of promoting products, encouraging positive relationships, supporting effective teamwork, raising morale and empower and inspire individuals and Team members
- Team player, who can operate effectively as part of a team, working with colleagues to overcome challenges
- PRINCE 2 or equivalent qualifications
- Self-starter with an enthusiasm to learn and an inclination to look for solutions to challenges
