About the job: The role provides essential day‑to‑day support to the Guards and Drivers teams based at Plymouth and has a wide variety of responsibilities. Your main responsibilities will be:
- Be a constant presence in the traincrew depot, responding to queries and requests
- Ordering and distribution of kit, uniform and stock
- Ensure that diagrams, links, alterations notices and operational notices are correctly posted
- Arrange periodic and ad hoc medicals
- Raise faults/Form As when necessary
- Support local record keeping and processes
- Take minutes/notes at meetings, hearings and investigations
- Assist with tablet and phone troubleshooting
- Audit compliance
You’ll need to be:
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise your workload
- Detail conscious
- Adaptable and flexible in your approach
- Able to establish relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels
- IT literate
As a minimum you’ll need to have:
- Previous administrative experience
- The ability to maintain confidentiality
- A good level of competence in Microsoft applications
- The ability to cope with interruptions and remain calm, friendly and helpful when under pressure
- Experience of minutes/notes taking
