The purpose and objectives of this role are:
- The primary purpose of the role is to produce accurate and efficient traincrew rosters to agreed timescales and Terms and Conditions.
- The role also provides general administrative support to the Planning and Performance department.
- Produce accurate and timely train crew rosters (Drivers, Onboard Managers and Onboard Hosts) in accordance with Terms and Conditions, including the monitoring of fatigue and Free Day Working.
- Incorporate relevant outputs of the Weekly Planning Meeting into the traincrew rosters, including but not limited to training, briefing, assessments and medicals.
- Incorporate Short Term Planning diagrams into the traincrew roster system and communicate accordingly.
- Submit accurate weekly returns in relation to wages, overtime, and annual leave.
- Organise medical appointments.
- Administration of annual leave for traincrew (Drivers, OBM, OBH) including production of an annual Holiday Roster, processing daily leave requests/swaps, and communicating outstanding balances as appropriate throughout the year.
- General administration duties for the Planning Team, including but not limited to Daily Sheets, data for HR and Finance reporting requirements, organising hotels and taxis for all employees.
The knowledge or experience you will need:
- A good knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulations and how it relates to the role.
- A good standard of education including Mathematics and English to GCSE or equivalent.
- An excellent understanding of rostering principles, terms & conditions, and roster development.
- Excellent understanding of train crew diagramming patterns.
- Excellent understanding of fatigue and associated processes within the scope of this role.
- Good communication skills.
- A good level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- A good understanding of the core route, including all diversionary routes.
- Onboard Host training for contingency duties.
