About the role
We’re looking for a Transformation Manager to join our Customer Delivery and Transformation team and help deliver some of First Bus’s most important strategic priorities. In this role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders across the business to lead and support key transformation programmes—shaping and delivering change across operations, technology and organisational design. You’ll also play a key role in building our transformation capability, helping to embed consistent ways of working and strengthen how we deliver change across First Bus.
The team:
The Customer Delivery and Transformation team works in partnership with the First Bus Executive to shape business strategy and deliver the transformation required to achieve it. We lead and coordinate transformation across First Bus, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into impactful programmes and delivered effectively. We also track performance, provide delivery assurance, and embed a consistent approach to change. At the heart of our work is a focus on delivering value quickly and sustainably—for our people, customers, communities and shareholders.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and supporting high-impact transformation projects and programmes
- Developing business cases, project plans and delivery frameworks
- Managing risks, dependencies and governance to ensure delivery
- Supporting stakeholder engagement and change adoption across the business
- Contributing to the development of “The First Bus Way” for transformation
- Supporting the design and delivery of training programmes and organisational role changes and responsibilities
- Working collaboratively across teams to solve complex challenges and drive performance
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience delivering within transformation, change or improvement programmes in large-complex organisations
- Experience across technology-enabled transformation, operational transformation, operating model design and continuous improvement
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficient in developing presentations and business cases
- Ability to work across teams and influence at different levels
- A structured, analytical approach with strong problem-solving capability
- Confidence communicating ideas clearly and effectively
