- We have a fantastic opportunity for an internal colleague to become a
- Relief Training & Recruitment Officer to support our operations across
North and West Yorkshire .
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering training programmes, supporting recruitment activities, and ensuring colleagues are trained and developed in line with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Working closely with operational managers and frontline colleagues, you will play a key role in building capability across the business, driving engagement, and ensuring our teams have the skills and confidence to deliver excellent service.
This is a relief position, so you will provide support as and when required to the Training & Recruitment team
Key Responsibilities
As a Relief Training & Recruitment Officer, you will
- Partner with local managers to ensure teams are appropriately trained and establishment requirements are achieved.
- Deliver high-quality training in line with divisional frameworks and local operating standards.
- Train new recruits to
DVSA standards using the company instructional framework.
- Invigilate theory tests and support candidates through the training process.
- Deliver
Driver CPC (d CPC) training to both new and existing drivers.
- Provide remedial coaching and support following incidents or driver assessments to restore driver confidence and competence.
- Coordinate and deliver effective inductions, ensuring all new employees understand and work safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Implement local recruitment and training plans to support operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate training, recruitment, and performance records.
- Ensure effective communication and handovers across shifts and operational teams.
- Undertake driving duties when required.
- Comply with requisition-to-pay processes and delegated authority requirements.
- Adjust training plans and working patterns to maximise trainee driving time and make best use of vehicle availability.
The successful candidate will have
- A valid
- PCV licence and
Driver CPC (d CPC) qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- The ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear reports.
