Vacancy: Health and Safety ManagerWe\βre looking for a dynamic and experienced Health and Safety Manager to play a key role in our Safety team. If you\βre passionate about creating safe, high-performing environments and thrive in a collaborative setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
As Health and Safety Manager, you\βll:
Lead investigations and safety reviews
Maintain and improve our Safety Management System
Analyse safety data and identify trends
Support the Head of Safety and wider teams
Manage one direct report
Promote a strong safety culture across the business
Liaise with London Tramlink , ORR , RAIB , and other statutory bodies
Submit regular safety performance reports to FirstGroup , London Tramlink , and key stakeholders
This is a non-safety-critical role but is subject to our Alcohol and Drugs Policy .
What You\βll Bring
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification; CMIOSH or similar professional affiliation
Proven ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the organisation
Minimum 4 years\β relevant experience, ideally within the transport industry
Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Calm, professional approach under pressure
Coaching mindset with a passion for developing others
Analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
Additional Requirements
Successful candidates will undergo a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check
