Join Our Team as a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller. Are you customer-focused and looking for a dynamic role in the railway industry? As a Train Dispatcher and Ticket Seller, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth station operations, from train dispatch and ticket sales to providing real-time travel information and maintaining a safe, clean environment. This role involves regular lone working, offering autonomy and responsibility.
What We're Looking For?
- Passion for customer service and strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Confident decision-making and attention to detail
- Ability to handle numerical tasks and documentation
Working pattern?
- 18 hours per week, 10:00 – 16:00 shifts
- Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday
- Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (Rotating pattern, includes weekends and bank holidays)
Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
What to Expect?
- After submitting your application, shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete an online assessment – Train Dispatch Multi-Tasking Test (recommended on a laptop/computer).
- Successful candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview.
- Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a colour vision test and drug and alcohol screening.
- Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
