Join one of the UK's most iconic railway stations and play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and outstanding customer experience. Based at Bristol Temple Meads—one of GWR's flagship stations—you'll lead a large, diverse frontline team in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. With over 13 million customers passing through the station each year, no two days are the same. As a Service Delivery Supervisor, you'll take ownership of station operations during your shift, ensuring trains run safely and on time while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and coordinating multi-functional station teams (Platform, Gateline, Sales Office, TSSO and Passenger Assist)
- Delivering exceptional customer service and proactively responding to customer needs
- Ensuring the safe and punctual dispatch of trains, including investigating any irregularities
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming station environment for customers, staff, and visitors
- Providing clear, timely information and support to passengers
- Acting decisively in operational or emergency situations
- Working closely with station management and Network Rail to support ongoing improvement and regeneration projects
- Driving performance and contributing to improved customer satisfaction (CSM scores)

Essential Requirements
- Valid train dispatch competence
- Proven experience leading and managing a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good numerical ability
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Experience using operational systems (e.g. Quartz, Tyrell, WFM, Bugle)
- Demonstrated leadership capability in a safety-critical environment
Working Pattern
This role involves shift work, including weekends and bank holidays, operating on a rolling roster of early, late, and night shifts. There may also be a requirement to support the wider team outside of these hours on an ad-hoc basis. Please note, you must be able to travel to and from the station outside of public transport hours.
