We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Analyst ready to make an immediate impact at the heart of our Regional Bus Division. This is more than just analysis—it’s an opportunity to shape how we grow, innovate, and better serve our customers. You’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insight, influence senior decision‑making, and play a key role in driving commercial performance across the business.

About the role

You’ll support the Commercial Analysis team in delivering insight across revenue and customer performance, with a primary focus on our Regional Bus Division during a period of strategic growth and transformation. You’ll play a key role in data‑led decision‑making, working closely with senior stakeholders to enhance performance, strengthen insight, and support the delivery of our customer strategy.

What will you be doing?

  • Full understanding of individual market performance
  • Ability to extract insight from multiple data sources and successfully present and influence senior members of the business
  • Gain detailed knowledge of local trends and ability to advise on proactive interventions using data & analysis as a foundation.
  • Assess new funding schemes and understand the impact to make localised recommendations for continuation or exit strategy.
  • Ensuring detailed knowledge of Concessions agreements to assist on negotiation and agreement.
  • Ad Hoc analysis on Commercial priorities defined by business unit.
  • Understand the need and relevance of reports and data requested by external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure revenue allocation is accurate across depots and ensure robust performance reporting based on Commercial activity of the business.
  • Produce detailed budgets and forecasts for Volume, Revenue & Yield

About you

  • Extensive experience as a Commercial Analyst, Commercial Manager or similar with a focus on supporting revenue and customer performance initiatives
  • Demonstrable experience of interacting with senior business leaders and ability to be comfortable presenting and questioning decision making
  • Understanding of a commercial business and how different factors interlink to drive growth
  • Proven ability to integrate quickly into a new business and deliver immediate value
  • Thorough, inquisitive and innovative mindset, with ability to think outside the box and question the norm
  • Self‑motivated, with ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent analytical mindset with broad commercial acumen and thought leadership, to generate meaningful, actionable insights on performance
  • Advanced Excel skills and Power BI literate
  • High levels of resilience with ability to take input and direction to run with a task, working on own initiative.
