We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our small, friendly team as an apprentice, supporting the day to day running of the business. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in business and finance and wants to develop practical skills in a supportive environment.

Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with 30 minute lunch (on site). Wednesday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm (work from home). 26 hours 30 minutes a week. Duration: 1 year 9 months.

Work: Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work:

  • Assisting with client queries
  • Supporting payroll processing
  • Various administrative tasks across the business, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how a small business operates.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills. Training provider: EAST LINDSEY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CENTRE

Skill requirements:

  • Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation, e.g., MS Office or equivalent packages.
  • Produces accurate records and documents, including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
  • Exercises proactivity and good judgement, makes decisions based on sound reasoning, seeks advice when appropriate.
  • Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation, demonstrates influencing and coaching skills.
  • Demonstrates good communication skills across channels, represents the organisation appropriately.
  • Completes tasks to a high standard, applies continuous improvement, resolves complex complaints, serves as key contact for issues.
  • Manages priorities and time, meets deadlines, manages resources, organizes meetings and events.
  • Uses project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report on projects.

Qualifications: GCSE in English (grade 4 / C and above) and Maths (grade 4 / C and above). Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
