Job Purpose: Firstco, are a UK based systems engineering company, specialising in mission-critical control and communication systems within transportation environments. We’re currently recruiting for a range of Control Systems Engineers. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking company and gain controls experience in a highly regulated environment. Example Duties and Responsibilities: Applications are open to engineers with at least 5 years of control systems experience. We’re ideally looking for candidates who have experience in some (but not necessarily in all) of the following areas:
- System design (Specifications, Drawings, Registers)
- System development (Software development, Hardware Configuration)
- Test and commissioning (FAT, SAT, System Migration)
- On-site implementation of systems
- Contributing to assurance and requirements traceability activities
Due to the nature of Firstco’s projects, some works will be required to be undertaken over night shifts or weekends to meet operational constraints. This will be occasional and planned activity, with the role being predominantly weekday-based.
Desired Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM subject or related field - Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Candidates must be UK residents and be eligible to meet strict security vetting procedures which include employment or education references for the last 5-years.
