Due to business requirements, we are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced Regulatory Transformation Portfolio Lead to lead the strategic coordination and delivery of the Bank's transformation initiatives.

Hybrid role: 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all regulatory transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with Bank priorities and external standards.
    • Embed subject matter expertise to shape regulatory solutions and advise on key issues.
    • Act as the primary liaison between project sponsors, executive committees, and delivery teams to ensure traceability and accountability.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement across Compliance, Legal, Risk, HR, and Operations.
    • Overview and co-ordination of all in-flight and pipeline projects in the portfolio.
    • Advise on capacity and provide timelines for delivery.
    • Prioritise and sequence regulatory initiatives based on risk, compliance urgency, and strategic value.
    • Maintain a consolidated roadmap of mandatory change programmes, including regulatory gap assessments, policy/process updates, and culture initiatives.
    • Management of portfolio budget, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed costings.
    • Monitor programme progress, risks, and issues; elevate material deviations as required.
  • Governance Assurance
    • Validate deliverables, KPIs, and closure criteria to ensure traceability and compliance.
    • Facilitate working groups and steering committees as well as ad-hoc workshops as required.
    • Produce clear project communications and updates to senior management, project teams, and external partners.
  • Project Execution
    • Lead selected high-priority regulatory projects to deliver outcomes on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
    • Co-ordinate the Bank's regulatory project portfolio and run multiple projects, managing all aspects of the end-to-end delivery journey, including requirements gathering, gap-analysis, build, testing, and go-live.
    • Develop and manage project documents that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Proven experience in regulatory change, compliance transformation, or portfolio leadership within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., FCA, PRA, AML, GDPR).
  • Strong governance reporting skills.
  • Experience of running multiple initiatives simultaneously and co-ordinating own capacity and priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Strong governance and associated reporting skills.
  • Prince II certificate or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
