Due to business requirements, we are now looking to acquire the services of an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager/Engineer. Please note that this is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure 99.9% high availability of all FirstBank Systems and networks.
  • Advise the CTO on technology and security implementations, process reengineering, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Perform full technical support to all FirstBank core infrastructures and provide technical assistance to users on a range of systems and business applications.
  • Support and manage banking applications, servers, networks, voice systems, and security devices.
  • Ensure operational integrity and uptime across all IT services.
  • Monitor and analyse system performance, proactively resolving issues.
  • Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure to support new business initiatives.
  • Lead infrastructure and operational IT initiatives while balancing resource constraints.
  • Conduct capacity planning to ensure short and long-term system availability.
  • Provide oversight of IT infrastructure and cyber security controls.
  • Manage internal and external network security systems to defend against intrusion and misuse.
  • Analyse and mitigate security vulnerabilities (firewalls, AV, DLP, patching, encryption, intrusion detection).
  • Contribute to Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Assist with IT audits and document information security risks.
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day supervision of IT Technical Support Analysts.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to align technology capability with business strategy.

Key Skills/Experience

  • Several years' experience supporting IT systems and network infrastructure in Financial Services (preferably banking).
  • Experience designing, building, deploying, and maintaining secure IT environments.
  • Broad technical exposure across Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Databases, Applications, and Azure.
  • Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

Technical Skills – Essential

  • Microsoft Windows (10, 2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Oracle Database 19c+.
  • MS SQL Server Administration | SQL & PL/SQL.
  • TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Cisco Switches | Fortigate Firewall | VPN Solutions.
  • Patch Management.
  • Network Backup Systems.
  • Datacore Configuration (SAN).
  • VOIP Telephony.
  • Trellix Anti-Virus.
  • NAC (Network Access Control).
  • Email & Information Security Filtering (Egress).
  • Windows SUS Server.
  • SharePoint Admin & Support.
