Role Overview

The Team Lead, Space & Service Coordinators, will assume a key role within the organization by leading and motivating colleagues in a way that enhances working relationships and encapsulates FIRST values and our client’s brand. The individual will ensure the Space & Service Coordinator (SSC) team delivers consistently exceptional service to our clients through excellent operational and logistical facilities management that exceeds client expectations.

Your Contributions

  • Directly manage a team of direct reports
  • Develop, mentor, and provide feedback to team members on an ongoing basis
  • Manage monthly audit reports as required by client and internal management, focusing on event volume, team capacity, and general event data
  • Partner with the client on various strategic initiatives and projects
  • Oversee workload of the team ensuring day‑to‑day understanding of capacity/pressure points and assisting/offering guidance on team’s events where required
  • Manage vacation schedules, ensuring appropriate team coverage, and review all expense reports
  • Oversee the on‑boarding/off‑boarding process for all SSCs
  • Develop process documents and standard operating procedures
  • Provide strategic partnership and expertise to the larger Event Management leadership team
  • Ensure the team adheres to standard operating procedures and compliance processes
  • Serve as an escalation point for any challenges in the SSC team's day‑to‑day delivery
  • Propose and implement improvements to the intake processes
  • Develop necessary training materials
  • Liaise with global team as necessary to support alignment in processes

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills at all levels
  • Decision maker and problem solver with a collaborative/team‑player attitude
  • Positive and caring approach to team management
  • Creative, solution‑oriented and resourceful, team player
  • Adaptability to situations and ever‑changing demands
  • Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet strict deadlines
  • Excellent time management and multi‑tasking skills
  • Ambitious and proactive with a calm and flexible approach to handling pressure and client escalations
  • Good/advanced working knowledge of the Google Workspace and MS Office Suite
