You Would Get To Do
- As a Floor Ambassador, you will be the friendly and helpful face of our event spaces, providing essential on-site support to our clients and the Event Management team.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by being a readily available point of contact, assisting with last-minute needs, and proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
- Your positive attitude and customer-focused approach will help create a welcoming, successful event environment at a well-known tech company.
Your Contributions
- Serve as a visible and approachable point of contact for event hosts and attendees within assigned event spaces.
- Proactively offer assistance and support to clients with immediate requests and inquiries.
- Act as a runner on the floor, efficiently addressing last-minute needs from the Event Management team and clients.
- Liaise with various service line partners (catering, AV, security, room setup) and vendors to facilitate quick resolutions and fulfill requests.
- Troubleshoot basic on-site issues and escalate more complex matters to the Event Management team.
- Assist with basic room setups and adjustments, including moving tables, chairs, and other light equipment as needed.
- Support the setup and distribution of event materials, such as signage, stationery, badges and giveaways.
- Help with light manual handling, lifting/moving boxes (up to 10kg/22lbs), and transporting items between event spaces and storage areas.
- Ensure event spaces are tidy and well-maintained throughout the event.
- Provide wayfinding assistance and answer general questions about the event and venue.
- Support guest registration and check-in processes as needed.
- Assist with post-event breakdown and tidying of event spaces.
- Communicate effectively with the Event Management team regarding any issues, requests, or observations.
What We Are Looking For
- Entry-level position; some experience in customer service, hospitality, or event support is a plus but not always required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Positive and proactive attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must be able to work fully on-site. This role will be based within specific event spaces on the campus. This is an on-site position.
- Flexibility of hours, must be willing to work mornings, evenings, and potentially weekends as needed to support event schedules.
