The ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as a dedicated resource within our Solutions division and assume the role of Associate Event Technology Manager. The Associate Event Technology Manager will oversee high-quality operations in technology, event websites/apps, data management, and analytics. They will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through project management, demonstrate a keen eye for detail, and report to the Event Technology Team Lead.
Your Contributions
- Implementation, build and project management of standard event registration websites, app builds and all technological aspects of our events.
- Database management to ensure consistency of information, accurate data, inputting new data when required and generating lists and reports upon request.
- Manage client evaluation communications such as save-the-dates, invitations, registration, confirmations, feedback surveys etc.
- Build relationships and effectively communicate with internal and external clients over the phone, in person and via email.
- Work with event Project Managers/Coordinators on overall program logistics, production, and implementation.
- Manage onsite registration and take responsibility for all registration collateral and equipment management, and develop registration desk flow design and set up.
- Be a contact for attendee management and technology vendors, including pre-event and during execution.
- Responsible for all registration collateral and equipment management.
- Provide insight into the user experience of all pre-event and onsite registration for both virtual and in-person events.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of client events.
- Escalate any challenges as necessary to ensure the effective resolution of issues.
- Support other members of the department as needed on ad-hoc projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience required, including meeting planning and coordination, including event and registration technology.
- Experience with registration website platforms such as Cvent, Splash, Certain, Aventri, Eventbrite.
- Highly motivated, able to work independently.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic, patience, and a winning attitude.
- Flexible and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evenings, weekends) and travel when required to be on-site at events and/or troubleshoot remotely.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Customer focus and approachable demeanour.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Independent and critical thinker with a keen sense of judgement.
- Quick and strategic problem solver.
- Experience with virtual meeting and event platforms such as Intrado, GlobalMeet / TalkPoint, Zoom, WebEx, SpotMe, Concise Chime or other virtual meeting and event platforms (preferred but not essential).
- Some knowledge of programming, such as computer coding (HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript) (preferred but not essential).
