Location: Worcester, Padmore Street, WR1 2PA

Working Hours: 39 hours per week, 5 days over a 7‑day rotating shift pattern (early and late).

Pay & Benefits:

  • Hourly Rate: £18.76 per hour (£19.01 per hour if you hold a PCV licence).
  • Salary: Approx. £38,045 per annum.
  • Bonuses: £3,000 New Recruit Joining Bonus (terms apply).

About the Role:

Join our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Worcester. We offer technical up‑skilling, career progression, PPE, basic tools, a competitive hourly rate and rewards & benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement.
  • Diagnose vehicle faults, specify correct methods of repair and required parts.
  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine examinations using handheld data capture devices where applicable.
  • Attend on‑road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
  • Carry out vehicle road testing to identify specific defects or to confirm remedial repair.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in vehicle/mechanics.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Employer will support obtaining a PCV licence.
  • Experience with buses, coaches, or HGVs is an advantage; any vehicle mechanic experience considered.
