About the Role:
Join our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Worcester. We offer technical up‑skilling, career progression, PPE, basic tools, a competitive hourly rate and rewards & benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing and parts replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle faults, specify correct methods of repair and required parts.
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine examinations using handheld data capture devices where applicable.
- Attend on‑road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carry out vehicle road testing to identify specific defects or to confirm remedial repair.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in vehicle/mechanics.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Employer will support obtaining a PCV licence.
- Experience with buses, coaches, or HGVs is an advantage; any vehicle mechanic experience considered.
