Salary: £14.89 per hour. Location: Plymouth.

Hours: Variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends on an annualised 10hrs minimum contract – this is a casual contract.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services, ensuring the safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself.
  • Provide assistance and information to passengers, consistently demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
  • Maintain high standards in data collection via the coordination portal.
  • Help First Travel Solutions (FTS) maintain high vehicle standards and conduct regulations auditing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the transport industry desirable but not essential.
  • Commitment to providing a consistently excellent standard of customer service.
  • Confidence in engaging drivers on regulations and adherence to PSVAR/PSVAIR.
  • Great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable.
  • Patient, reliable and calm when working under pressure.
  • Capable of working as a team and independently, using own initiative.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.

Additional Requirements

  • This is a safety‑critical role and is physically demanding. You will be on your feet for up to 12 hours, handling passenger luggage in all weather conditions, sometimes without shelter.
  • Must have access to your own transportation and be located within 10 miles of one of the key stations.
