Salary: £14.89 per hour. Location: Plymouth.
Hours: Variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends on an annualised 10hrs minimum contract – this is a casual contract.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services, ensuring the safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself.
- Provide assistance and information to passengers, consistently demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain high standards in data collection via the coordination portal.
- Help First Travel Solutions (FTS) maintain high vehicle standards and conduct regulations auditing.
Qualifications
- Experience in the transport industry desirable but not essential.
- Commitment to providing a consistently excellent standard of customer service.
- Confidence in engaging drivers on regulations and adherence to PSVAR/PSVAIR.
- Great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable.
- Patient, reliable and calm when working under pressure.
- Capable of working as a team and independently, using own initiative.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends.
Additional Requirements
- This is a safety‑critical role and is physically demanding. You will be on your feet for up to 12 hours, handling passenger luggage in all weather conditions, sometimes without shelter.
- Must have access to your own transportation and be located within 10 miles of one of the key stations.
