At First Time Finance, we help people who’ve built their lives in the UK finally own a home here. We’re a specialist mortgage brokerage for foreign nationals and visa holders - people with the income and the commitment to buy, who’ve too often been told “no” everywhere else. We’re the ones who say yes. We’ve secured over £160M in mortgages, helped 500+ families into their homes, and we’re rated 4.9 on Trustpilot. Founded in December 2023 as a one-person business, we have since grown to a team of 12 in less than 3 years. Now we’re building out our partnerships channel - and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to drive it from the front.

The opportunity

This is a genuine build role. You’ll take on a handful of existing partnerships and, working closely with our Founder/ Managing Director, grow the rest from the ground up. We already have a strong, proven go-to-market plan - what we need is the right person to get out there and make it happen, and to bring their own ideas and strategic thinking as you do. Your objective is simple: get in front of the right partners and communities and drive new clients into the business.

What you’ll be doing

  • A mixture of being out in the field - meeting new and existing partners, building relationships, and running company events.
  • Sourcing, pitching and signing new introducer partnerships across the UK.
  • Keeping existing partners warm and referring.
  • Home-based days for prospecting, research and handling inbound enquiries.
  • Working hand-in-hand with our Founder/ MD on strategy and growth.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a BDM in first-charge mortgage lending.
  • A natural relationship-builder who’s at home on the road and brings their own ideas.
  • A natural implementer - someone who can turn a plan into action.
  • A second language is a real plus - especially if you’ve been through the journey of moving to the UK yourself and understand first-hand what our clients go through.
  • Happy to travel across the UK (core focus will be Midlands and London first - all expenses paid).
  • Ideally based in or around the Midlands — not for any office (we’re a remote team), but for easy reach of partners in our core focus areas.
  • A full driving licence and ideally your own car.

What’s on offer

  • £40k basic plus a genuinely uncapped bonus based on every completed mortgage you bring in - no ceiling on what you earn.
  • Realistic OTE: c.£40k-45k in year one while you build, c.£55–65k in year two, and £70k+ in year three - with no cap. Top performers will go further.
  • All travel, mileage and expenses covered.
  • A proven product, a warm market that genuinely needs us, and a clear plan to execute.
  • A path to grow into a leadership role as we build the team out beneath you.
  • The chance to shape a channel - and eventually a team - from the ground up.

If you want ownership, autonomy and uncapped earnings - and you want to build something that genuinely changes people’s lives - we’d love to hear from you.
