Our Client has a requirement for a Site Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

Purpose: To support the delivery of a major infrastructure enabling works project by undertaking setting out and surveying activities, managing permits to dig, ensuring compliance with site procedures, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental performance.

Responsibilities: Carry out setting out and surveying activities across the site.
Raise and manage permits to dig in accordance with project procedures.
Ensure all excavation permits are approved prior to work commencing.
Maintain accurate site diaries and daily progress records.
Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
Liaise with engineering, support, and construction teams to ensure effective project delivery.
Identify and report site issues, delays, and safety concerns to management.
Support the efficient coordination of site activities.
Work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practice at all times.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or construction projects.
Good understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies.
Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.
Experience carrying out setting out and surveying activities.
Relevant CSCS Card.
Vocational engineering or construction-related qualification/training.
Thames Water Passport.
Skillsguard certification.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
