Take the lead on high-value NEC4 contracts and drive commercial performance across complex projects. Our Client has a requirement for a Commercial Manager (NEC4 / PSC), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow (hybrid working).
Responsibilities include:
- Provide effective commercial management of assigned contracts in line with best practice methodologies and governance requirements.
- Lead on commercial strategy, risk management, and contract performance.
- Provide commercial expertise and guidance to project teams and commercial staff.
- Act as Commercial Lead across contracts, projects, and bids.
- Support development and delivery of risk-based commercial strategies.
- Drive commercial performance as part of the wider project team.
- Act as escalation point for high-risk and complex commercial issues.
- Ensure compliance with commercial governance and internal processes.
- Identify and escalate key commercial risks and issues.
- Deliver accurate commercial reporting to support decision-making.
- Promote commercial best practice across teams.
- Mentor and develop team members to improve commercial capability.
- Lead and manage direct reports, ensuring effective communication and performance.
- Plan and organise resources to meet project and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified (Law, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience).
- Significant commercial experience managing large, complex contracts and bids.
- Strong background in commercial strategy and change initiatives.
- Proven experience providing commercial input into bids and contract delivery.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC4, ideally Professional Services Contract (PSC).
- Experience collaborating across multiple business units.
- Track record of developing commercial capability within teams.
