Be the Eyes and Ears of Major Engineering Projects Across the UK. Our Clients have requirements for Civil Inspectors, who will be required to work on a contract basis across various locations throughout the UK. Role Purpose: Civil Inspectors play a vital role in ensuring construction and infrastructure projects are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest quality standards. Working on behalf of leading engineering organisations, you will provide site-based inspection, surveillance and quality assurance support across a range of major industrial, energy and infrastructure projects. Carry out inspection and quality surveillance activities on civil construction works Ensure compliance with project specifications, procedures and industry standards Identify quality issues and support effective resolution on site Promote safe working practices and regulatory compliance Provide assurance throughout all phases of project delivery Job Role Responsibilities: Perform inspections of civil and structural construction activities Monitor contractor performance and workmanship against approved specifications Verify compliance with quality requirements, codes, standards and project procedures Witness testing, inspections and hold-point activities Review inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality records and site documentation Identify non-conformances and support close-out activities Produce detailed inspection reports and progress updates Support quality assurance and quality control processes across project sites Liaise with project teams, contractors and client representatives Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved designs and standards Participate in audits, site walkdowns and technical reviews where required Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site health and safety requirements Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Demonstrable experience as a Civil Inspector, Site Inspector or Quality Inspector within engineering or construction environments Strong understanding of civil engineering and construction practices Experience inspecting earthworks, concrete, structural steelwork, foundations, drainage or infrastructure works Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation Knowledge of quality assurance, quality control and inspection processes Familiarity with industry codes, standards and inspection requirements Experience working on major infrastructure, energy, industrial, water, defence or construction projects Strong communication and reporting skills Ability to work independently and manage inspection activities on live project sites Relevant engineering qualification, CSCS card or industry certification advantageous NDT, welding inspection or quality-related qualifications are beneficial but not essential Why Apply?
