Keep Industry Moving - Join a High-Performing Manufacturing Team as an Electrical Shift Engineer Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical Shift Engineer, who will be required to work on a 4 On, 4 Off (Continuous Rotation) contract basis in Belfast. Support high-speed automated manufacturing and packaging operations. Carry out electrical and multi-skilled maintenance on production and packaging equipment. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation. Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled systems, including fault finding and minor modifications. Maintain electrical systems including motors, VFDs, control panels, sensors, relays and high-voltage equipment. Support conveyors, packaging lines and manufacturing support systems. Raise and complete work orders through the CMMS/SAP maintenance system. Assist with root cause analysis and equipment reliability projects. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, GMP and health & safety compliance. Strong electrical maintenance background within a manufacturing environment. PLC experience, including diagnostics and troubleshooting. Knowledge of electrical control systems, drives, motors and instrumentation. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Ability to work independently on a rotating shift pattern. Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, bottling or packaging environments advantageous. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, ControlLogix, PLC-5 or SLC500 systems advantageous. SAP or CMMS maintenance system experience advantageous. Forklift, MEWP or scissor lift licences advantageous. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Time-Served Apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production or packaging environment.
