New Job Opportunity! Our Client has a requirement for an Electrical M&E Supervisor, who will be required to work on a Contract basis in Hartlepool.

We are seeking an experienced Onshore Electrical M&E Supervisor to join the Onshore Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Department at Our client's Wind Offshore. This team is responsible for defining the M&E strategy for onshore wind turbine components, including developing methodologies, providing transport and installation tooling, and deploying skilled manpower to support offshore wind projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the onshore M&E installation scope for the Dogger Bank Offshore Wind Project.
- Collaborate with the electrical engineering team on documentation, planning, and technical deliverables.
- Act as a key interface between Our client's electrical engineers and M&E contractors to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
- Assist in the execution of onshore pre-assembly activities in close collaboration with the Electrical Engineer.
- Oversee and support contractor teams, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Ensure safe, compliant execution of WTG (Wind Turbine Generator) M&E activities in accordance with local legislation, company standards, and project procedures.
- Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of all mechanical and electrical tasks related to turbine installation.
- During the Preparation Phase: Support the project team in preparing for upcoming operations, including mobilization and onshore execution planning.
- Supervise the activities and readiness of the M&E contractor to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and related documentation; support updates and improvements as needed.
- Provide daily activity reports in coordination with the site team.
- Identify and report Product Line Issues (PLIs) and non-conformities (NCs).
- Assist in sourcing, managing, and tracking project-related parts and materials.
- During Onshore Pre-Assembly Works: Report to the M&E Global Lead and support the Electrical Engineer during onshore construction operations at the pre-assembly site.
- Supervise wind turbine mechanical and electrical activities, providing clear updates to the Electrical Engineer and Our client's site team.
- Work a standard 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday.
- Act as an integral member of the Our Client's management and installation team, coordinating closely with the M&E contractor, reporting non-conformities, and preparing Daily Progress Report (DPR) updates.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting the update and development of Our client's work procedures.
- Ensure onshore construction activities remain on the critical path and are executed safely, efficiently, and within planned timeframes.
- Assist the Electrical Engineer in coordinating WTG technicians, ensuring performance aligns with contractual and project requirements.
- Identify potential roadblocks in M&E activities early and coordinate solutions with the back-office and project team.
- Serve as a primary interface between Our client's project management and the M&E contractor.
- Support the preparation and review of daily progress reports for Our client's activities.
- Promote and uphold a strong Our client's EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) culture by encouraging openness, proactive reporting, and continuous safety improvement.
Technical Skills:
Essential:
- Professional education in electrical engineering or construction, or extensive industry knowledge as a certified electrician within offshore/onshore wind turbine construction.
- Minimum 5 years of onshore/offshore supervisory experience.
- GWO Full Package – mandatory.
- Industry Medical certification – mandatory.
Desirable:
- Proven track record in offshore WTG construction with 5 years of onshore/offshore wind experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey installation methods and technical instructions.
- Good understanding of CDM (Construction Design Management) regulations and requirements.
- Strong commitment to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and the ability to represent GE effectively.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional project environment.
