Join a high-impact defence programme where your scheduling expertise will directly shape delivery, performance, and strategic success. Our Client has a requirement for a Programme Support Scheduler, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow.
Role Purpose: Support the development and maintenance of an integrated programme schedule. Assist with programme reporting to support performance analysis across time, cost, and scope. Ensure programme schedules and management information are accurate, aligned to strategy, and within approved time and cost parameters. Work closely with project schedulers, planners, and programme leadership to support effective programme delivery.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Support the Programme Integration Scheduler in building and maintaining an integrated delivery schedule.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including planners and delivery leads.
- Update and maintain the Primavera P6 schedule, working closely with Project Schedulers, Project Managers, and Delivery teams to gather progress updates.
- Support critical path analysis activities.
- Manage and report on dependencies and key milestones.
- Support the Programme Controls and Integration Manager in establishing programme control capabilities, including governance and stakeholder engagement.
- Support analysis of schedule performance data, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Undertake additional tasks as requested by programme leadership.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience using Primavera P6.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience producing and presenting reports for senior management.
- Proactive approach with the ability to use initiative to solve problems and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Good understanding of planning methods, programme management, and progress monitoring.
- Good understanding of risk and opportunity management within planning and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of delay and change analysis methods.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience using Power BI.
