The Role
As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality temporary works and structural engineering solutions for a diverse client base. Key responsibilities include:
- Temporary works design in accordance with BS5975 and Eurocodes
- Design and assessment of steel and reinforced concrete structures
- Temporary propping and support systems
- Excavation support design
- Facade retention schemes
- Demolition sequencing and structural stability assessments
- Production and review of calculations, drawings and reports
- Leading projects and managing client relationships
- Site visits and technical support during construction phases
- Mentoring junior engineers where appropriate
About You
We're keen to speak with engineers from a range of backgrounds. You could be:
- A Structural or Civil Engineer with 2-3+ years' Temporary Works experience
- A Senior Engineer with 7+ years' structural design experience from infrastructure, energy, bridge or major civil engineering projects
- Working towards Chartership or already Chartered (ICE or IStructE)
You'll also have:
- A Civil or Structural Engineering degree
- Strong knowledge of relevant design standards and codes
- Experience producing structural calculations and technical reports
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
