Our client, a well-known engineering consultancy, is actively looking to hire approximately 10 Civil Structural Engineers to work on some large defence-based projects across the UK.
Project: Defence/Naval
Location: Fully Remote – Once every 2 Months onsite in Glasgow (1 or 2 consecutive days, no more)
Rates: Negotiable depending on Experience
Civil/Structural Engineers are required at all levels. Hybrid with most work being done remotely. The Civil/Structural team specialises in solving the most complex and technically demanding structural engineering problems. Each project is unique but typically involves consideration of dynamic load effects due to extreme hazards, including seismic, blast, and impact. Our complex analysis models are rigorously validated. Everything we do has to be fully evidenced and justified through independent third-party review and ultimately to the nuclear safety Regulators. As a result, this is one of the most varied and challenging roles you can take on as a civil/structural engineer.

- Reinforced concrete structures
- Plated steel structures
- Maritime structures
- Specialised facilities for submarines
Designed from Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London which can be your hybrid base office.
Responsibilities:
- Inter-discipline project planning, delivery, and financial performance
- Provision of technical quality and excellence of project deliverables
- Providing technical and professional guidance, support, and development of more junior engineers and technicians
- Adherence and contribution to business and quality management systems
Requirements:
- 5+ Years Civil Structural Engineering experience
- Docks/Births, Concrete Basins, Reinforced Concrete, Plate Structures, Reinforced Steel Works, Maritime, Marine or Heavy Civils experience
- Seismic or Revit or Ansys experience
- Structural Analysis
