As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias, you will initially be based at the Leigh site for training before transitioning to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Warrington.
The Role
This hands-on position is ideal for a proactive and experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated production equipment while ensuring minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot automated processing machinery
- Carry out electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
- Support planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Work closely with Production and Quality teams to optimise performance
- Use CMMS systems to track and manage maintenance tasks
About You
To succeed as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias, you will bring strong technical expertise combined with a flexible, problem-solving mindset.
Essential Requirements:
- Completed recognised apprenticeship with ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical competence
- Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Good IT skills, including CMMS and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Level 3 Mechanical qualification
- Stable work history demonstrating long-term commitment
