About the Opportunity

We are looking for a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias to join a growing, forward-thinking manufacturing business. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery in a modern production environment and play a key role in maintaining high operational standards. You will initially be based at the Leigh site for training before transitioning to a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Warrington.

The Role

This hands-on position is ideal for a proactive and experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving automated production equipment while ensuring minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot automated processing machinery
  • Carry out electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs
  • Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
  • Support planned maintenance and continuous improvement activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to optimise performance
  • Use CMMS systems to track and manage maintenance tasks

About You

To succeed as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer – Electrical Bias, you will bring strong technical expertise combined with a flexible, problem-solving mindset.

Essential Requirements:

  • Completed recognised apprenticeship with ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Proven experience in industrial maintenance
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills with mechanical competence
  • Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
  • Good IT skills, including CMMS and Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Mechanical qualification
  • Stable work history demonstrating long-term commitment
