Take the lead on high-value NEC4 contracts and drive commercial performance across complex projects. Our Client has a requirement for a Commercial Manager (NEC4 / PSC), who will be required to work on a contract basis in Glasgow (hybrid working).

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide effective commercial management of assigned contracts in line with best practice methodologies and governance requirements.
  • Lead on commercial strategy, risk management, and contract performance.
  • Provide commercial expertise and guidance to project teams and commercial staff.
  • Act as Commercial Lead across contracts, projects, and bids.
  • Support development and delivery of risk-based commercial strategies.
  • Drive commercial performance as part of the wider project team.
  • Act as escalation point for high-risk and complex commercial issues.
  • Ensure compliance with commercial governance and internal processes.
  • Identify and escalate key commercial risks and issues.
  • Deliver accurate commercial reporting to support decision-making.
  • Promote commercial best practice across teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members to improve commercial capability.
  • Lead and manage direct reports, ensuring effective communication and performance.
  • Plan and organise resources to meet project and client requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified (Law, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience).
  • Significant commercial experience managing large, complex contracts and bids.
  • Strong background in commercial strategy and change initiatives.
  • Proven experience providing commercial input into bids and contract delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of NEC4, ideally Professional Services Contract (PSC).
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business units.
  • Track record of developing commercial capability within teams.

12-month contract opportunity with a hybrid working model (minimum 3 days onsite) and exposure to strategic commercial decision-making.
