Deliver complex rail infrastructure projects with real national impact. Our Client has a requirement for a Project Manager, who will be required to work on a contract basis in Birmingham.

Role Purpose: Plan and integrate projects to deliver target costs, dependencies, risk management and project benefits. Manage project delivery within a complex, multi-stakeholder rail infrastructure environment.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage integrated project workstreams, balancing cost, time, quality and risk.
  • Identify problems and review related information to support the development, evaluation and implementation of solutions.
  • Gather, synthesise and analyse information to support effective decision-making and option evaluation.
  • Assess data to support the development of strategies and document supporting rationales.
  • Influence and negotiate with internal functions and external supply-chain partners.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to resolve emergent risk situations.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Aligned to APM Project Manager.
  • Strong problem-solving capability.
  • Effective decision-making and analytical skills.
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management capability.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 contracts – essential.
