First Task Professional are currently working alongside a civil engineering contractor who are gearing up for an extremely busy few years with multiple wins within big civil engineering projects in the energy/power sector. As such, they have a requirement for multiple QS to work on projects in both the delivery stages and pre-construction.

Naturally, most substations and converter stations are in more remote locations, so there is a high likelihood of having to work away (with hybrid working) for the jobs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety, environmental, and company standards
- Communicate with project teams and clients
- Mentor junior commercial staff
- Manage subcontractor contracts and payments
- Track costs and produce reports
- Support project strategy and risk management
- Handle change control and contract compliance
- Submit monthly payment applications
- Advise on commercial/contractual matters
- Manage workloads and deliver training
Key Criteria:
- Experience as QS with main contractor
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- ECI / Preconstruction experience
- Target cost contract experience (Desirable)
- Working toward CICES or equivalent (Desirable)
