First Task Professional are currently working alongside a civil engineering contractor who are gearing up for an extremely busy few years with multiple wins within big civil engineering projects in the energy/power sector. As such, they have a requirement for multiple QS to work on projects in both the delivery stages and pre-construction.

They work in partnership with some of the best specialist contractors to ensure safety and quality are delivered to the highest standards. Naturally, most substations and converter stations are in more remote locations, so there is a high likelihood of having to work away (with hybrid working) for the jobs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety, environmental, and company standards
- Communicate with project teams and clients
- Mentor junior commercial staff
- Manage subcontractor contracts and payments
- Track costs and produce reports
- Support project strategy and risk management
- Handle change control and contract compliance
- Submit monthly payment applications
- Advise on commercial/contractual matters
- Manage workloads and deliver training
Key Criteria:
- Experience as QS with main contractor
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- ECI / Preconstruction experience
- Target cost contract experience (Desirable)
- Working toward CICES or equivalent (Desirable)
